Garden Stakes Sale

Colorful, handmade garden stakes in bright, sunshine yellow are the perfect gift for any gardner! I handmade these with glass which I fused in my kiln and then I etched the herb / vegetable names in black. To top it all off I drilled a hole at the top of each one and added a handy jute string to hang these up in the garden shed when you're not using them. These are my unique creation! Really Cute Summer Dandelion Seed Key Chain

This key chain is part of my new spring / summer design and I really love the overall feel and look of it. I made this out of fused glass. To make this cute key chain I cut a piece of brown glass and prepared it so that I was able to paint my design on it. In this particular technique you cannot just use any glass paint, it was special paint for fusing at extremely high temperature. After I was done with painting (free hand), I let it dry and then I prepared a clear top glass piece that I placed over the painted one. I do this because the overall finish is professional and smoothe.

This is a unique piece. I usually prefer making one of a kind pieces. The key ring part is a large ring which adds to the beauty of this piece as a whole. Click here to read more about this key chain.

New Shipping Prices for 2011

As a business owner who ships my products internationally, I'm always trying to find the best possible shipping price for my customers. In conclusion, I have found that Canada Post is the cheapest as far as price goes, but the price to pay for not the best service is probably not too worth it!

I shipped many of my items as a small light packet which was great because shipping is quite cheap, thus giving me the upper hand in making my items appealing to the shopper, but the problem I faced this December, was that some of my clients did not receive their packages. The down part of the small light packet is that there is no insurance and no tracking number. What it comes down to is this: you're better off charging more for your shipping and make sure you have both insurance and tracking to offer your clients because if you don't, you will get bit in the behind. It doesn't matter how honest you are, according to the client, you didn't deliver and you didn't keep your end of the bargain.

That being said, in an attempt to offer a more reliable shipping service, I have decided to up my shipping prices in order to offer both insurance and a tracking number with all of my shipments. When you think about it, there really is no other option. If you're going to want to offer the best service you can, this is the only way to go. There is no negotiation when it comes to keeping your good business name.

In conclusion: To all of my loyal customers and to my future customers, please shop with confidence because we will deliver; we guarantee it! We look forward to serving you better in the future.

Adopt Lily the Taffy Artist Made Bear Marriage Proposal Idea

I'm really excited and happy to introduce to you: "Lily."  She's my latest handmade creation.  She has a beautiful coat of genuine Mohair, that is sort of scruffy looking, which I really like.  It gives her some character, don't you think?

I used German glass eyes and metal cotter joints for durability.  I added small glass pellets to her bum and feet, for weight (thus enabling her to stand when she's placed just right.)

Obviously, Lily, is not a toy.  She's an artistic, handmade bear for decoration or collecting.  She will make the greatest gift!  Here is a cute gift suggestion:  Add a ring to Lily's bow and offer the bear  as a gift for a really cute way to propose.  Add any kind of jewelry to her as an original way to present the jewelry gift.

Click here to read more about Lily.  Check out my December Sales Section for savings up to 40%.  Plus choose your free gift section is quite cool, as well.

For the Gardener - Cute Garden Stakes Herb Garden Markers Hostess Gift

There is nothing more lovely than seeing lush greenery in a beautiful garden.  I designed these garden stakes with that in mind.  I wanted to contrast the green against the bright yellow... you know me, it's all about color coordinating and contrasts!!

These garden stakes are made of fused glass.  I hand wrote the herb and vegetable names with an engraving tool and then I added a special, black colored paint.  You'll also notice that I drilled each one and added a really practical twine loop so that you can hang them neatly in your garden shed (makes it easier to pull them out of the ground too.)

Each one is a handmade, unique piece since they're all made individually.  They make the cutest hostess gifts for the gardener.  What I really like about these is that they're more than just markers, they're decorative and add a touch of charm and beauty to any vegetable or herb garden.  They also look great in a pot as well.  I offer these in a bundle or individuallyClick here for more info on the garden stakes or click here to see all of my unique, handmade gifts:  wire wrapped jewelry, simple necklaces, quality gold earrings, recycled bottle glass art pieces, individually made buttons, coaster sets and so much more...

Recycled Bottle Glass Picture Frames Green

A few years ago, in an attempt to recycle wine bottle glass, I came up with the idea of making various glass home decor items with the discarded, bottle glass.  I came up with a few designs that really turned out quite nice and I think you will enjoy it as well.  I sell these particular picture frames mostly as gifts for those who appreciate everything handmade and for those who appreciate wine as well.

Each frame is a labour of love.  With much patience I must assemble each piece together as a jigsaw puzzle and fuse them at  a very high temperature in order for them to become one solid piece.  These picture frames are my unique creation.  They're classy and elegant and they make great gifts for him or her.  Click here for more information.
